ZHAO WEN DAO
The Indigenous-owned beauty brand’s new campaign Right the Story aims to reclaim the ways that Indigenous peoples in North America are represented on screen. The feature spot was filmed in Yukon by a 95% Indigenous crew and directed by Haudenosaunee storyteller Shaunoh. It features the enigmatic voice of Zoey Roy and a poem she has penned. The people featured aren’t actors; they’re a group of real friends.
This is a motion graphic about a grand sci-fi book written by Cixin Liu, called Zhao Wen Dao, the summary is about a question: would you die for the truth? Story takes place in a future where the world is on the brink of collapse due to environmental disasters and political turmoil. Against this backdrop, the protagonist, Zhao Wen, is a skilled engineer tasked with building a massive space elevator that could potentially save humanity. However, as he progresses in his mission, he uncovers a conspiracy that threatens not only his project, but the future of the entire human race.
